Core77 is kicking off New York Design Week with a Friday night party, and you're invited to help us do it. Join us on Friday, May 14th at the Gershwin Hotel, from 9pm - Midnight. The first, co-curated with Sight Unseen, is a collection of beautifully packaged foods from New York's outer boroughs, including a large selection of items made by small-batch producers in Brooklyn.

Japan Premium Beef blurs the line between art gallery and meat market—in a storefront once owned by Andy Warhol, no less. Against a backdrop of besuited butchers, this exhibition presents the work of Sam Baron, art director at the Benetton design research center Fabrica, who will present a new series of sausages rendered in glass.
