Red Hook Bike Crit, March 30th, 2013

Zoooooom! I went down to meet RKT and Lady T to see the bike race. I couldn't get to them in the throngs of people, but enjoyed watching the races from my position. I also missed seeing Michael Martin and the MASH team, but they were quite busy racing the event. You can kinda make out a crash mid fall in one of the pictures.

Nick Cave's Horses at Grand Central Station

Choreographed by William Gill in collaboration with Nick Cave, the "Crossings" are performed by student dancers from The Ailey School, accompanied by percussion and harp.

Impromptu art outing, J.C. Leyendecker!

On November 16th, I snuck out of work early to go check out the last day of the J.C. Leyendecker work on display for auction. It was great seeing his work up close, and I was surprised at the scale that he painted at. I knew the originals were shrunk down to fit in magazines, but they sure weren't nearly as big as I imagined. He fit a lot of detail work in at his relatively small scale.

The Daily Show with Jon Stewart

RKT, Ryan Last Name Unknown, Three Fingers and I headed over to watch the taping of the Daily Show on June 12th. The guest was Colin Powell, and it was a great talk and a really fun and funny afternoon.

Holla at Holler!

It was a fun experience at CH's Experience
My neck was a bit sort from the slide vibrations, but a neat and wacky time for sure.
RKT and I headed over to Three Finger's place afterwards for some winter time tar beach hangin' which was lots of fun.

Later that week, RKT and I checked out the Hybrid Thinking art opening.
Some cool work for sure, and lots of hipsters out that evening - I thought they didn't like the icy cold weather?
